Chambers Street Research is a student-run, multi-strategy research group focused on probability, markets, and systematic decision-making.

About

History

Founded in 2025 in New York, New York, Chambers Street Research began as a small group of students seeking a more applied and quantitative approach to understanding markets.

With early support from the Westbury United Methodist Church, the group was able to establish its initial structure and begin developing its research and educational framework. Since then, it has grown into a multi-strategy research group focused on probability-based analysis, prediction markets, and systematic thinking.

Mission

Our mission is to provide hands-on experience in quantitative research, strategy development, and portfolio thinking.

We aim to equip members with the technical and analytical skills needed to navigate modern financial markets, while fostering disciplined thinking, independent problem-solving, and a deeper understanding of how markets function under uncertainty.

Research

Prediction Markets

We study short- to mid-term opportunities in prediction markets, focusing on market mispricing, information flow, and event-based probability.

Quantitative Research

Members develop and test frameworks using statistics, probability, and market analysis to identify and evaluate trading opportunities.

Strategy Development

We emphasize systematic thinking, backtesting, and decision-making processes that can be refined over time.

Portfolio Thinking

Our group approaches research through the lens of risk, return, diversification, and uncorrelated opportunity sets.

Education

Foundational Training

At the start of each semester, members are introduced to probability, statistics, market structure, and research process.

Applied Learning

Students gain experience through research projects, testing ideas, and contributing to strategy development.

Advanced Topics

Event-driven trading, forecasting, derivatives, market microstructure, and quantitative risk.
